Sweet David was the Shining Star in his classroom the last week of November. He was so excited about this! The week before he worked diligently and carefully and thoroughly on his poster. DILIGENTLY and CAREFULLY and THOROUGHLY. And independently! INDEPENDENTLY! He did an awesome job.
He also chose some other pictures to display alongside his poster--his favorite World War II airplane, Baby David in Istanbul, Baby David in Egypt, his extended family, and the Hodag of the North Woods.
David did a fantastic job presenting to the class. He is very comfortable in such situations. He talked about himself with confidence and enthusiasm, and he enjoyed answering his classmates' questions.
After his presentation, he got to share treats with the class. He chose chocolate-covered long johns. They were, not surprisingly, a big hit. David loved sharing a bit of happiness with the class! (Mary felt like a hot shot sitting with the big kids.)
David is definitely our Shining Star. Every single day!
