Happy Father's Day!
We celebrated with brownies--
and a bike ride--
--or maybe it was more of a bike walk--
(If Greg had a perfect family, this bike ride would NOT have included a potty crisis, walking up and down every gentle slope, riding so slowly maintaining balance was almost impossible, or a six-year-old in near hysterics about dying in a thunderstorm. Also, it would have been longer than a quarter of a mile. But Greg didn't get a perfect family. He got us. And he's perfectly happy, which is what makes him such a great dad.)
Hope you had a nice day too.
P.S. Our day was extra nice. It began with a special church meeting because Elder Quentin L. Cook, one of the Apostles, was in town. Lucky us! He and his wife shared some experiences about Family Home Evenings gone not-quite-right. I guess no body's family is perfect! They also shared some inspiring messages of faith. You can read other messages that Elder Cook has shared in the recent past here and here.
