Here is my favorite Halloween picture from this year ...
Mini Minnie Mouse |
Didn't you say "Awww" when you saw that picture? (If you didn't, I pretty much have to doubt that you're human.)
That was one Halloween picture. (Look at it again. "Awwwwww." It's impossible to look at without saying "Awwwww." Impossible!!) And now for forty more Halloween pictures. Oh, yes, FORTY.
First up. Pumpkins. Monday we went to a pumpkin patch to choose pumpkins, and Tuesday Greg stayed up late with the kids carving their pumpkins. (Sadly, I don't have a picture of Sara's pumpkin! Yes, forty-one pictures of Halloween and not one of Sara's sweet little pumpkin. Greg carved her a Minnie Mouse pumpkin.)
Next up: All ready for the Truck or Treat. Wednesday night we had a little party and trunk-or-treat at the church. Greg and Mary decorated the back of the car with spider webs and glittery spiders. Then we lined up our three jack-o-laterns. It looked great. (And, of course, I don't have a picture. As you can tell, I'm kind of out of my picture and blogging rhythm.)
But I do have pictures of the kids all dressed up for the Truck-o-Treat. This year we had Indiana Jones, Minnie Mouse, and Mini Minnie Mouse.
Finally, Trick-or-Treating. Halloween was rainy, rainy. But David and Mary and a posse of friends braved the elements. Greg and the umbrellas accompanied them. Sara and I stayed home to pass out candy. They only lasted about forty minutes before they were soaked through. So they changed into dry pjs and gathered at the neighbor's house to watch "The Great Pumpkin." Despite the rain (and maybe even because of it) it was a very happy Halloween.
